We’re launching a new campaign to call on our Mayor and City Council to bring transit within greater reach of all New Yorkers by eliminating bus fares and expanding Fair Fares to bring free and half-priced transit to over 2 million working-class New Yorkers, including:

• Half-price subway fare for riders earning up to 300% of the FPL (federal poverty level)

• Free subways and buses for riders earning up to 150% of the FPL

• Fare-free buses for every rider

• Automatic enrollment so Fair Fares is easily accessible to all who qualify

This moment presents an important opportunity to demonstrate broad, united support for transit justice and to uplift the voices of riders who are most impacted by high fares and slow, unreliable bus service.
